기아, 택시연합회와 전기차 보급확대 MOU…고객 멤버십서비스 선봬

'니로 플러스' 확산 기대 대기환경 개선·탄소 배출량 저감 기여

[화이트페이퍼=최창민 기자] 기아가 택시 업계와 손잡고 친환경 전기택시 보급에 나선다.

기아는 전국택시운송사업조합연합회·전국개인택시운송사업조합연합회와 함께 '전기택시 보급 확대를 위한 업무협약(MOU)'을 체결했다고 25일 밝혔다.

지난 20일과 24일 진행된 체결식에는 권혁호 기아 국내사업본부장, 박복규 전국택시운송사업조합연합회장, 박권수 전국개인택시운송사업조합연합회장 등 관계자들이 참석했다.

이번 협약을 통해 기아와 택시 업계는 ‘니로 플러스’ 택시 모델을 통한 친환경 전기택시 대중화를 가속해 대기환경 개선·탄소 배출량 저감에 기여한다는 방침이다. 니로 플러스는 1세대 니로 EV를 기반으로 개발된 기아의 첫 목적 기반 모빌리티(PBV)다.

기아와 두 협회는 이번 협약에 따라 니로 플러스 택시 모델의 상품 경쟁력을 알리기 위한 설명회와 시승회를 연다. 택시 조합원들이 친환경 전기택시를 도입할 수 있도록 안내할 예정이다.

기아는 고전압 배터리 보증에 대한 택시 업계의 부담을 낮출 수 있는 다양한 서비스도 운영한다.

일반 차량에 비해 주행거리가 긴 영업용 택시의 특성을 고려해 택시 모델에 한해 고전압 배터리를 업계 최장인 10년/30만km까지 보증한다. 국내 자동차 업계 최초로 ‘배터리 리퍼비시 서비스’도 시행한다. 이 서비스는 10년/30만km의 보증기간이 끝났거나 사고 등에 의해 배터리를 유상으로 교체해야 할 경우 새 배터리 보다 낮은 가격에 신품급 재생 배터리로 교체해주는 서비스다. 또 전기차 구매 장벽 중 하나인 충전 문제를 해소할 수 있도록 충전기 설치와 요금 할인도 지원한다.

이 밖에도 기아는 개인택시 고객을 대상으로 전용 멤버십 ‘기아 EV멤버스 택시’를 운영한다. 멤버십 가입 고객에게는 충전 서비스 사업자별로 회원가입을 하지 않아도 충전기를 이용할 수 있는 ‘충전 로밍 서비스’와 월 최대 1400kWh까지 할인된 요금으로 충전할 수 있는 구독형 충전 요금제 ‘기아 그린패스’ 등을 지원한다. 아울러 기존 기아 신차 구매 이력 합산 신차 구매 포인트와 카카오 T 블루 가맹비·주요 기사식당 연계 바우처 등도 제공한다.

기아 관계자는 "기획 단계부터 운전자와 승객이 제안하고 평가하는 과정을 통해 개발된 니로 플러스는 진정한 고객 중심 기업으로 도약하고자 하는 기아의 비전을 담고 있는 첫 번째 PBV 모델"이라며 "택시 업계와의 지속적인 협력을 통해 친환경 모빌리티 수요에 적극 대응하고 택시 이용 승객들에게 최적화된 서비스를 제공할 것"이라고 전했다.
